Provenance SPARQLer
Provenance research is no picnic, and neither is SPARQL. This resource is meant to provide a bridge for users of GPI resources, especially as they navigate the transition from GPI’s STAR platform to the new Arches platform. Not only is Arches limited in the some of the things it can do (while still being more capable and extensible than STAR), there are also difficulties in communicating the data model itself—something that is not entirely covered in project documentation. SPARQLer is meant to bridge some of this gap.

What You’ll Find Here
SPARQLer is a reference source for SPARQL queries having to do with the GPI. These are all applicable to the GPI’s SPARQL endpoint.
In general all entries follow a common format: Introduction; Query; Commentary; Notes. The goal is to allow users to quickly assess the usefulness of a query for their purposes, identify the relevant parts of the search, and to adapt what they need for their own queries. Along the way, we illustrate the data model, idiosyncracies of provenance data, and some common principles for navigating it.
